About Our Lady of Fatima
The Our Lady of Fatima rosary is intended to honor the apparition of Our Lady to three children in Fatima, Portugal in 1917. Our Lady made six visits to the children, in each of them asking for prayer and repentance amidst the terror of the First World War.
Our Lady asked the children to pray the rosary, and from this apparition we received the Fatima prayer, which is said after the Glory Be:
Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy.
