I know you already know I'm all about Memento Mori over here.
I've been really reflecting on the concept this last month or so. And this phrase kept coming to mind.
Prepare your soul.
Memento Mori is reminding us that our time on Earth is fleeting. Everyone will die. And how can we be ready? We can't, not completely anyway, but we can prepare. We can make sure we are not living in sin, we can go to confession, we can pray. Pray for others, pray for ourselves. We can work everyday to prepare for death. Take care of your soul.
